Welcome!

This is where I hang out when I’m not busy.  It’s my personal spot where I rant and rave, and share my wit, wisdom, and personal thoughts.  Well, as personal as you want to get on the Internet, anyway.  It’s sort of a cross between the “Bat Cave” and Red Green’s “Possum Lodge.”

This is the place where I publish notes for my upcoming books, test out business ideas, interact with my friends and family, and basically let my (thinning) hair down.

Want to be the first to see the super secret, best-of-the-best stuff that I post?  Sign up for the newsletter in the sidebar!

You’ll get some neat stuff, I promise.  (Including the highly creative and humorous “Taylor Family Newsletter” that I publish whenever I get the itch to write at 2:00 am.

Feel free to look around, respond with disapproval to my posts, and glean the knowledge it has taken virtually hours to accumulate.

If you want to interact, we want to hear what you have to say.  However, to limit trolls, first time posters must be moderated.  I try to stay on top of things and usually will moderate within the day.  After that you’re on your own.  Post to your heart’s content.

However, and this is a big one,  Don’t be vulgar.  You don’t have to agree with me, but you do have to be civil. You’ll find that I’m pretty liberal (in the classic sense of the word) when it comes to posting comments.  I have thick skin and don’t mind debate.  However, obscene, distasteful, or rude remarks toward me or other posters not be tolerated will be removed and IP addresses banned.  I am the sole determiner of what is acceptable.  (It’s good to be King.)

We’re still sort of under construction, so if you see something odd that looks like placeholder text, well it probably is just holding a place until I get around to fixing it.  I’ll get some real content up here soon enough.  Hang in there.

I’ve been thinking about just this sort of site for several years.  Let’s hear it for WordPress.  It took me awhile to catch on, but finally it’s here.  We can blog which gives me an outlet for all my rants which will eventually turn into a book dedicated to my mom who encouraged me to write throughout the years.  It also allows me to create various pages to post and capture info like the mailing list for The Taylor Family Newsletter which will soon be coming out in e-mail form!  (If you’re one of my many relatives please sign up in the sidebar!)

See you ’round the blog!
